I am a diehard movie buff. My brain is filled with unnecessary and random trivia in regards to movies, actors, celebraties and royalty.
That is why I share this post of famous people who are from Montenegro or have family heritage from there.
Mila Jovovic
In 2004 she was the highest paid model....but you might know her from the 1997 movie "The Fifth Element" or "Resident Evil" that made her a household name.
Her family fled to Metohija, Serbia, from their home in Vasojevici, Montenegro during the conflicts here which ended with genocide. Later they moved to the Soviet Union and USA.
John Malkovich
An actor with over 70 movies under his belt has Montenegrin ancestry.
Novak Djokovic
Considered one of the best tennis players of all times. Born in Belgrade, he is of Montenegrin descent and actually got married on Sveti Stefan which is only 3 miles from Budva, Montenegro.
Stana Katic
You might know her as Kate Beckett from the television show "Castle."
Her parents are both born in Croatia, but she also has family members in Serbia and Montenegro.
She actually went to the University of Toronto as she is Canadian/American.
