Nervi, Italy was once a fishing village and apparently now is a resort town.
Located only 7 km away from Genoa to the south.
It is right on the Italian Riviera.....and it is stunning.
The Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi is a pathway along the sea in Nervi, Italy.
The walkway is 2 km long.
There are stunning views, lush vegetation, cafes, gelaterias and restaurants along the way.
Canadian snow birds.....lol.
I have twice taken the bus to Nervi from Genoa to run. If I run the entire Nervi promenade, then keep running into Genoa and continue down to the Genoa promenade.....as Trudi and I did today, we are able to get our long runs in. Training for a Half Marathon in May.
Eleven km today.
Makes me so happy to stroll these promenades.
Not sure if she is laying eggs or not?
Penne and meatballs for lunch....yummy.
Jagged rocks tower out of the sea.
Nervi is only 25 meters above sea level.
Kayaking.....yikes.
The views are breathtaking.
"You crack me up."
The seaside village of Nervi, Italy.
The bus, from our home away from home, takes 20 minutes to get there.
The incredible Porticciolo Harbour.
Sea kayaking is a big thing here. Scares the tar out of me.
A Muscovy Duck...hanging out in Nervi.
Having a sleep over with some Canadian friends.
A beautiful, and very friendly white dove.
Takes courage, strength and skill to maneuver these kayaks in this strong sea.
WOW!!!!!
Deb found a perfect spot for the day.
I really do love these birds. A Great Cormorant. The eyes are mesmerizing.
A tiny gecko.
Happy...happy.....happy Day. Sea, sun, mountains.....
A wee pick me up at this lovely cafe.
Umbrella trees where I believe is the Botanical Gardens above.
A fortification along the pathway.
Daffodils and Mimosa flowers.
"Do you ever have a feeling you are being watched?"
Definitely going back for a return trip.
Gorgeous.
