There are no bad days on this trip. Today is warm but the wind is quite strong.
I took a bus to Nervi, about 6-7 km away and ran back. I am training for my Half Marathon with friend Trudi and we are now at 10 km long distance.
So when I ran back from Nervi I popped down towards the Corso Italia and ran the extra 4 km. Phew!
After lunch Deb and I went down to the promenade as I hoped the market was still open for her to see.
An impromptu market on Sunday morning on the Corso Italia Promenade.
Yummy dried and prepared sausages I would love to try.
3 for 5 euros.
Had to have been about 12-15 stalls. Check out the HUGE lettuce in the bottom left of the photo, above the carrots. That fed Deb and I four meals!
Gigantic rounds of parmigiano cheese.
The lady on the right obviously wondering who takes photos of cheese.
The young man slicing up cheese gave us a piece to try. Delicious.
Olive wood and lemons....that's Italian!
Just loved this man. So adorable.
Blooming
Grand Central on this very windy day on the Ligurian Sea.
Parasailing, windsurfers, sail boats.
They are working hard out there.
My favourite feathered buddy with some of his friends today.
Lots of sail boats as well as beginner classes.
Cute and wee with a grand view....cafe on the promenade.
Made new friends who suggested we try cappuccino with focaccia bread.
Sweet and salty.
We did and we've had it twice since then!
The Ligurian Sea.
It is bordered by Italy, France and the Island of Corsica.
The views from Corso Italia promenade are spectacular.
Sun worshipper.
Further past Genoa, Boccadasse and Nervi, are all these seaside villages waiting to be explored.
Popped in for a quick view of Boccadasse...it's on our way home.
