A Stroll from the Louvre to the Arc de Triomphe

The Louvre Pyramid in the back ground with the museum surrounding it.  It is the entrance...and what an entrance it is.

Deb and I did such a great job of visiting almost everything when we were here before.....so this time we wanted to meander.  From the Louvre we walked to the Arc de Triomphe.  It was a little cool, a wee bit overcast, but we didn't notice....it's Paris!!!!!
Can you believe over 8 million people visit the Louvre every year?
The Paris Museum Pass is the only way to go.  You skip the line which, this day, was massive.

The Arc du Carrousel....which the four guiled bronze horses on top where stolen by Napoleon, from St. Mark's Square in Venice, then after the downfall of Napoleon, they were returned.

Guess how many tries and photos this took?

"Hey we were here before" about 13 years ago.

The Arc de Triomphe.

Unfortunately the damages and before New Years Eve, the preparation to protect the stores along the Champ-Elysees.  Already preparing where some yellow vested protestors on the street.
Time for us to go.
