While heading in a different direction today we accidentally found a quieter Herceg Novi.
Up and under the Clock Tower we go......
The Tower Sahat-Kul divides the two main squares, Duke Stefan and Dzhurkovicha, and is also the entrance to the Old Town. Built in 1667 during the Turkish period of occupation of Herceg Novi.
Saint Michael Archangel Church
Children in the playground at the base of the Fortress Kanli kula.
Quieter part of the village with incredible views of the mountains.
Excellent guard dog...cute but actually never made a sound.
This car is parked, literally, right under a cactus plant/tree? Watch your head.
The Old Town and much of the immediate locale is actually surrounded by an ancient wall. For 600 years there have been people inhabiting this village.
Orange trees and the Kanli kula Fortress.
That was a hard day.....you got it.....cappuccinos for two, hvala (thank you)
A view from the terrace at Gradska Kafana. Our favourite restaurant in this incredible town.
