We happened upon the Tuileries Christmas Market just outside the Louvre. Opened until January 6th....it was fantastic.
Lunch time....a smoked dog and freshly made fries. So good.
Roasted chestnuts...love them.
From here we walked to the Arc de Triomphe and then a quick metro ride to the Eiffel Tower.
I was so excited to see the Eiffel Tower through the metro train....lol. We actually thought, as there seemed to be a small line-up, that we would go to the top. The cost is reasonable, 25 Euro. The actual line up and wait for the elevator was over two hours. Hmmmmm...we decided not to do it.
And as a result of not going up we found yet another Christmas Market right at the base of the tower. Oh yeah.
New Years menu for Deb and I you ask? Authentic Indian Butter Chicken and Rice.
Churros as a chaser.
And to top it off...Nespresso with French Macaroons. Yummo-lious.
What a beauty on New Years Eve...lit up and gorgeous.
Thank you Paris for a wondrous jump into 2019.
Happy New Year everyone.
