Eating In Herceg Novi.....Again

So...a wee bit disappointed we couldn't visit and explore the amazing Fortress Kahli Kula.....but it is all downhill from here.....lol.....get it?
Always trying to find the silver lining.

The greenery is so lush and brilliant....and it is winter here?

Little parks tucked into corners....all about town.

This is our destination now.....a Pizza at this local spot we've been wanting to try.

They are tied, in my opinion, for best cappuccinos in Herceg Novi.

Another Montenegrin Pizza.....delicious.  They also cut it in two for us to share.  How sweet.

After our wee lunch break we head to our favourite place to stroll...the water front.  But first Deb gets some doggie treats in case we see our friend 'Novi' again.

Can you believe the amount of kiwis this local home has just 'hanging' around.....lol.

This birdie found a special treat....popcorn!

Counting my blessing and pinching myself at the same time.
Seriously....this is gorgeous.

Peter's Pie & Coffee shop is tied for the Best Cappuccino in Herceg Novi.  Not as decorated but so smooth and creamy.

Since we walked a ridiculous amount of stair steps today......this Lemon Tart was just the ticket for us to build up our strength......

Birds.....A cormorant and all his friends.

The impressive Statue of King Stephen Tvrtko I, founder of this beautiful town of Herceg Novi.
He crowned himself the first king of Bosnia and Serbia in 1377.  He died in 1391.
His legacy is that he improved the standard of living for his people and expanded his country's borders.  At the time of his death his country was in a very strong economic state.
He is considered to be Bosnia's greatest medieval rulers.....and is honoured here at the Herceg Novi port with a larger than life statue.

King Stephen Tvrtko I;  he  "left behind a country larger, stronger, politically more influential and militarily more capable than the one he inherited." (google quote)

His statue is more than 5 and a half meters high, weighing over 1.2 ton.

Oh oh....storm clouds coming......let's get home before that hits.
