Talking About Organic

"Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got til its gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot"

"Hey farmer farmer

Put away the DDT
I don't care about spots on my apples
Leave me the birds and the bees

Please! "

Juicy, bright orange, and thirst quenching.....no matter the outside.

The fruits and vegetables are quite different than at home.  I'm not talking about the varieties that we don't have....but it's the 'less than perfect' look that might take you aback when you are shopping for them.  They are fresh and very flavourable.
Often they are ripe NOW.  Use asap is the rule of thumb.
I have made a few prized soups already....Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato Soup, and a Vegetable Soup with everything in the fridge.  Both were a hit.

Below is a spoon of fresh, locally produced honey, we bought from a man (who made it) in the market.  It is so delicious.  Thick with a hint of molasses taste.
So thick in fact, I took this photo of me holding it upside down.....seriously.  I've been eating it by the spoonful.

As well, it doesn't matter here what the pomegranates look like on the outside....they are beautiful bright red and scrumptious.

Til its gone
