The Sacre-Coeur Basilica...just up the street from us

The Sacre-Coeur Basilica is literally about a 5 minute walk from our Airbnb.

Built in 1914 it is a Roman Catholic Church.  No photos allowed inside...you will need to see it yourself....gorgeous.

"You can do it Little Debbie" but I actually don't know how many steps?  But it is 130 + meter climb.

It is the highest point in Paris.  We could see the Eiffel Tower from here but it was a small spot with many others vying for that photo.

Incredible statued fountains dot the landscape.

She made it!!!!

On a overcast day, the Eiffel Tower from the Basilica.
I love the roof tops with the chimney pipes.

Flowers still blooming.

Deb and her new friend.

A wonderful and delightful surprise while wander the streets at the top of Sacre-Coeur was the artisans who congregate here and draw willing tourists portraits.  The area is Montmartre and is famous for the history of artists flocking here to live and work.  It is amazing.

From restaurant windows, you can order a crepe while you wait.

Caramel crepe...oh my gosh it was delicious.

What a great place to meander and relax.  We found a place to enjoy all to ourselves....."Far From The Maddening Crowds." Thomas Hardy
